Sugartown is a comedy-drama series which is set in a small seaside hamlet in the north of England which has seen better days. The series stars Shaun Dooley, Miranda Raison and Tom Ellis.
Ep1 : The employees at Sugartown’s rock factory are getting ready for Jason’s surprise engagement party to local hairdresser Emily. Jason is struggling to keep the business afloat. Jason’s suave brother, Max ends up returning to town. Emily and Max where childhood sweethearts but he left the fading seaside town for better things and ended up breaking her heart. Max announces that he has big plans to redevelop the town which would also see the factory close. The locals refuse to take things lying down and with the help from another newcomer, a dancer called Carmen, they discover Sugartown once had another claim to fame, dance.
